The real cost

Every hour the line is down, someone is paying for it

When a PLC faults and no one on site can read the logic, you wait, for a contractor, a flight, a call-out fee, lost production. Sending people to South Africa for training adds flights, accommodation and days off the plant. There's a better way.

Downtime you can't diagnose

A fault no one can read means the plant sits idle until help arrives, on someone else's schedule.

Expensive call-out contractors

Outside specialists charge premium rates and travel time for faults your own team could fix.

Key-man risk

When one person holds all the automation knowledge, every leave day is a production risk.

Who it's for

Built for the people who run the plant

Whether you're upgrading a whole team or breaking into automation yourself, this takes you from the basics to job-ready.

Companies & employers

Upgrade your maintenance and engineering teams in one go. Book a group and train them together.

Maintenance technicians

Move from swapping parts to actually reading the logic and fixing the fault.

Electricians & artisans

Add PLC, control wiring and automation to your trade and your earning power.

Instrumentation & C&I

Go deeper on I/O, analog signals, PID and process control.

Engineers & graduates

Turn theory into real hands-on competence employers actually want.

Students entering the field

Start your automation career with skills, hardware time and a certificate.

Who teaches it

Taught by engineers who've done it on real plants

Your team learns from working automation engineers, not lecturers reading slides. People who've wired panels, commissioned systems and fixed faults under production pressure, and who train the way it's actually done: hands on the hardware.

  • Years of real plant & commissioning experience
  • Hundreds of technicians & engineers trained
  • Trusted by teams across mining, manufacturing & energy
One-on-one PLC programming instruction
Wiring an S7-300 panel

The business case

The math is simple

Trained people fix faults faster and lean less on outside help. For most operations, the cost of a single avoided downtime event, or a few contractor call-outs, can exceed the cost of a seat on this course.

Faster
fault diagnosis & recovery, in-house
Fewer
premium contractor call-outs
Lower
key-man risk across the team

Illustrative, actual savings depend on your plant's downtime cost and current contractor spend.

Questions answered

Everything you might be wondering

Is R25,000 per person worth it?
It covers a full 2-week programme, PLC & SCADA fundamentals, control-circuit wiring, digital & analog I/O, PID control and sequences, hands-on on real Siemens hardware, with practice material beforehand and a certificate, delivered in Botswana with no travel costs. Most operations recover that in a single avoided downtime event or a few saved contractor call-outs.
Do attendees need prior experience?
None at all. The programme is built to take complete beginners to automation specialist over two weeks, it starts from the fundamentals. Experienced technicians still gain plenty from the process-control, PID and troubleshooting depth.
How long is the training, and what's covered?
Two weeks, hands-on. Week 1 covers fundamentals, control-circuit wiring and digital & analog I/O (DI, DO, AI, AO). Week 2 covers process control, PID and sequences, and brings it all together with fault-finding. Practice material is shared once your booking is confirmed.
What equipment will they train on?
Real, industry-standard Siemens hardware, PLCs, remote I/O, drives, real sensors and wiring, plus SCADA/HMI, with just two learners per training kit so everyone gets hands-on time.
Can you train our whole team / a large group?
Yes. Tell us how many people in the form and we'll send a group quote. It's the same proven 2-week programme, larger teams get the best value.
Do you invoice and accept purchase orders?
Yes, we're set up for company bookings with quotes, invoices and POs. Reserve first; we'll handle the paperwork once dates are confirmed.
Where in Botswana, and what are the exact dates?
The training is held in Gaborone and runs over two weeks in June 2027. We confirm the exact venue and dates with registered groups, reserve your seats and we'll share details as they're finalised.
How does payment work, and can we pay it off?
Two options, same price either way: pay in full, or spread it over 6 monthly instalments. We invoice you and accept purchase orders. Reserving is free, but your first payment is due within 30 days to hold your spot. Spaces are limited, so unpaid reservations are released after 30 days. The full amount must be paid by the end of March 2027 (3 months before the training). Your booking is confirmed and your learning material is released once payment is complete, paid in full or your final instalment received.
What if we reserve and then can't make it?
Reserving costs nothing and doesn't lock you in. You only commit once your booking is confirmed. If plans change before then, just let us know.
